This amp is powered by what look to be its original American Made Tubes. Output power is provided by a pair of 6V6GT power tubes. Preamp, reverb return, phase inverter duties, etc. are handled by three 6EU7 and one 7191 tube, not necessarily in that order. Amp still has its original two prong power cord. Everything, including the original 2-button foot switch works great
The Falcon sounds terrific, with a wild sounding reverb. If I were keeping it here, I’d consider re-capping the amp and replacing all the tubes with NOS tubes (saving the originals for collector purposes). But it sounds great as is. You might want to look up GA-19RVT on harmony central for some interesting reviews. I can install new caps and tubes prior to shipping for my cost, no labor.
Control panel knobs are pretty cool. Left to right: Inst 1 & 2; Monitor Jack; Loudness; Tone (turn left for more bass & right for more treble – kind of a balance control); Reverberation; and Tremolo knobs – Depth & Frequency. On the right are power switch, pilot light, and fuse (1 amp).
Cosmetics are excellent. Grill cloth seems perfect; no tears or gouges or dents in the tolex; only a little light surface rust on the handle mounting hardware. Not bad for 45 years old. I'll let the pix do the talking on this.
